The services offered by the CHUM Research Centre’s phenotyping core facility include cardiovascular, behavioral and metabolic phenotyping.

Our team offers technical support and customized training.

We help research teams optimize custom-made experimental models and develop animal use protocols.

Users can measure different cardiorespiratory parameters (ex., blood pressure, heart function) and metabolic parameters (ex., glucose homoeostasis, energy balance) in rodents.

They can also evaluate different food-intake-related behaviors and exploratory behavior, in addition to memory, depression and anxiety in different physiopathological, pharmacological or genetic contexts.

All protocols requiring the use of rodents comply with the standard operating procedures established and approved by the Institutional Animal Protection Committee (CIPA)
